My goal is to finish this project before I graduate. That gives me until May '08. I'm only halfway done with the writing process, so I really need to switch gears soon. The thought of actually finishing something that I started is a very pleasant thought. I've much work to do yet, but here's the status:

11/6 Update: My brother requested that I don't write about him, so I'm going to have to choose a replacement for "Bros." I'm in a bit of a state, so I'll give more thought to it at a later date.

11/11 Update: I've replaced "Bros" with Portastatic's "Sweetness and Light," which will be another dramatized take on a friend's experience. He's a guitarist and songwriter with a not-so-sunny disposition. It seems fitting, given the nature of the other stories.

11/20 Update: Zero 7 has been replaced with The Dears, because their song better reflects my rhetorical purpose. And because that's another "deadline writing" (would I get anything done without deadlines?), expect to see that one within the coming two weeks.

12/10 Update: I've finished "Ballad of Humankindness." Next on my list is "Halloween," and I've already gotten a good start on that. If it's not finished by the year's end, then I've failed all of you and the only honorable way out is seppuku. I hate blood, so let's hope I finish on time!

6/23 Update: "I Was Never Young" has finally been revised to better reflect what I've learned since writing it. Yes, at this rate, it will have to be revised on a yearly basis. Anyway, I've also decided that the CD cover art would work best on the back of the CD, and I've come up with a better idea for a cover (and title): "Undeclared" by The Dodos. It much better suits the overall theme of the work, I think.
